Last weekend, the temperature here was very cold so a pot of soup was just what the doctor ordered. So we decided to make udon noodles in tomato broth – a type of soup that is popular in Japan.

Kathryn Yeomans of the Farmer’s Feast demonstrates how to make a creamy risotto rice dish. Although it does take a little extra time, risotto is not difficult to make and it is healthy Italian rice recipe that most people would love.

A basic macaroni and cheese dish that can be taken in many different directions. We added some diced jalapeno peppers, but you can add any toppings you like such as toasted herbed bread crumbs. It is an ultimate comfort food for many including myself. My kids and nieces also enjoy eating this for snacks as well as meal.

How To Make Apple Crisp At Home

Ingredients

  • 5 Red delicious apples
  • 1/4 c. Quick cooking oatmeal
  • 1/4 c. Flour
  • 1/2 c. Brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/4 c. Margarine or butter

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Grease the bottom and side of an 8-inch square pan.
  3. Rinse the apples, then remove the cores. Slice the apples.
  4. Spread the sliced apples on the bottom of the pan.
  5. Cut the margarine or butter into small pieces and put in a medium-sized bowl.
  6. Add the oatmeal, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Using fork, cut the margarine or butter into the mixture until it looks like small crumbs.
  8. Sprinkle the mixture over the top of the apples.
  9. Bake for about 20 minutes.
  10. Serve warm as it is or with vanilla ice cream

  • 1 (12-ounce) packagemozzarella string cheese
  • 1 egg or vegan egg equivalent replacer
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 12Tbsp.  bread crumbs
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce,

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  3. Remove cheese from packaging and set aside. In a small bowl, whisk egg until foamy.
  4. In a small nonstick skillet, mix Italian seasoning with bread crumbs and place over medium heat. Cook and stir bread crumbs until lightly browned, about five minutes.
