I have no strong feelings for barbecue sauce one way or the other.

  • John Roberts says:

Oh yeah almost forgot…need to add Worcestershire Sauce also!

  • John Roberts says:

You have got to be kidding about this barbecue sauce recipe! Everybody
knows you have to have onion, garlic, liquid smoke and cayenne pepper. This
recipe is too sweet and bland for a real good barbecue sauce. Just saying!
I’ll bet more people will agree after they make your recipe!

You just got a new subscriber. You saved my summer. This is the first
summer that I tried making my own sauce and I ended up screwing the batch
    by doing something wrong. Thanks.

going on it next smoke. thanks

  • elmerfud551 says:

Whipped up a batch, this is a super sauce! Many thanks for the recipe. I
added a bit of garlic powder and 1/8C honey in addition to brn. sugar (I
like a sweet sauce), also dried onion flakes for texture. I might cut the
vinegar in half next time, but overall this sauce is da bomb.

  • TheVilasraut says:

@BBQTalk – Which is that black colored sauce which u put at 1:35 ?

  • R T says:

Here’s the local ghetto style version of this recipe. 14 packets of ketchup
left over from or taken from a fast food joint. 2 cups from a 40 oz bottle
of beer. Drink the rest. Add a generous portion of used cooking oil to
thicken it up. Stir until mixed. Visit your local Rose’s for whatever spice
is on clearance and either buy it or pick it up, if you know what I mean.
Add random spices. Some prefer to add a about a 1/4 of a joint of spices
per cup. Stir, cook, drink, enjoy.

Thank you so much for sharing. I went to buy BBQ sauce yesterday, but one
look at the price and I left it on the shelf. I had all the ingredients
except for the mace, and I used nutmeg instead (what the heck, huh?)
PERFECT! We like ours a tad bit sweeter, so I added some of the honey we
got from our bees and a dash of garlic, and it was AMAZING! I’ll be making
a larger batch soon and canning it, thanks again!
